  14. APPLE UK AND ACORN TO MARKET EDUCATIONAL IT

  16. Apple UK and Acorn are setting up a new, jointly owned company to market
  17. educational IT packages to UK schools. The deal could spell the end for
  18. Acorns proprietry educational computers, based on the ARM processor, and its
  19. Rom based RISCOS operating system. The new company says it will adopt the
  20. PowerPC and MacOS an the main platform for schools IT, although this could
  21. involve the development of a RiscPC with ARM, PC and PowerPC processors.
